This is our association: you are automatically a member if you have a child at the school! In the past funds have been raised through organising social events as well as the monthly subscription draw and Easyfundraising website. These have been used in a variety of ways to enhance our children’s experience at school, for example in the purchase of interactive white boards, sports equipment and a school minibus. We are keen to do everything possible to help the school continue to make our children’s educational experience even better and more enjoyable. Partly, this will mean fundraising but, equally important, it means mobilising parents to contribute their experience and expertise in as many ways as possible.
Many of us miss the regular contact with staff and other parents that we enjoyed while our children were at primary school and we feel less involved in school activities once they move on to secondary school. We hope to organise a range of events, which will improve links between parents and the school. We are looking for new ideas as well as support in a variety of different ways.
We believe we all have something to offer. The attached sheet suggests a number of ways in which you may be able to support the school and make a real difference to the provision for the youngsters it serves. None of them need be hugely time consuming – or expensive.
We should be really grateful if you would take just a few minutes to take a look at it and return it to us. The more of us who can do a little, the less a few of us will have to do a lot – and the better life at school will be for your children.
When you have completed the sheet, please ask your child to return it to the School Office (or post it if you prefer).
